This photograph was taken and created by Olivia Parker around 2009-2010. Olivia Parker was born in 1941 in Boston, After graduating from Wellesley College in 1963 with a degree in Art History, Olivia Parker began her career as a painter. She has had over a hundred one-person exhibitions. She later was attracted to photography in 1970. This image shows that these objects are falling to the ground. This took along time to create, she worked very hard to complete her goal. The objects that she has used are; flowers, broken shelves and bowls, these objects were all falling from different heights. Not So Still Life suggests that everything is always moving and falling the wrong way. Olivia Parker has used a range of different colours for this picture, light and darker tones, such as; Black, Brown, Grey. These are mostly dull tones. This work makes me feel that life is constantly moving in different directions. I like this work because the objects a very simple but the creation of the was difficult but this doesn’t look very complicated to accomplish. The name of the painting gives us a few clues about the artist because Olivia Parker never stops what she is doing. She still wants to get even better than she is now. Olivia Parker is very proud of what she has done. This photograph was edited to take out unnecessary things or objects not needed in this shoot. Olivia Parker took different views to created and to show this.
